Handmade Dutch Textiles by Claudy Jongstra
Claudy Jongstra is a Dutch textile artist who works with architects and clients around the world to create primitive, yet very sophisticated, handmade textile installations for interiors. Always tactile in nature, her installations improve spatial acoustics while enhancing the aesthetics of the environment; making them softer and more human. Interestingly, Jongstra raises her own sheep in the Dutch countryside, including the rare long-haired Drenthe heath, which enables her to enhance the quality of wool she uses in her projects.
