Created from a stash of tight grain old growth Redwood that was pulled from aging water tanks in California, these gorgeous reclaimed wood butcher block countertops are the latest creation from Green Mountain Woodworks. This eco-friendly company, located in the Rogue Valley of Southwestern Oregon, is committed to sourcing materials from their own regional eco-system. In support of the regional Redwood preservation movement, the company has collectively decided to only use reclaimed Redwood in their butcher block countertops.

Pulled from aging water tanks in California, this reclaimed Redwood butcher block has a very rich, dark coppery luminescent color with a steely patina from the water still rippling through the grain.

While not reclaimed, Green Mountain Woodworks offers some other gorgeous butcher block countertops in a variety of wood species:

This Northwest Blend butcher block is an artistic combination of Big Leaf Maple, NW Orchard Walnut, Madrone and Bay Laurel woods.

Coming across as a very warm brown mocha surface, this Madrone butcher block has ripples of dark burgandy colors throughout.

This Big Leaf Maple butcher block has a pale champagne color with a subtle pinkish undertone and offers a nice, lighter contrast to darker or more varied woods.

A brilliant, honey colored amber wood that is a classic part of the "Northwest" style, this Douglas Fir butcher block shows off its distinctive rings when the end grain is used.
