Created from a stash of tight grain old growth Redwood that was pulled from aging water tanks in California, these gorgeous reclaimed wood butcher block countertops are the latest creation from Green Mountain Woodworks. This eco-friendly company, located in the Rogue Valley of Southwestern Oregon, is committed to sourcing materials from their own regional eco-system. In support of the regional Redwood preservation movement, the company has collectively decided to only use reclaimed Redwood in their butcher block countertops.

Soapstone from Brazil by Soapstone International

Soapstone-from-Brazil-by-Soapstone-International_001

A metamorphic rock that consists of talc, steatite, magnesite, quartz, and other magnesium rich minerals, soapstone can vary in degrees of hardness and texture. Unlike marble or granite, soapstone is non-porous and never needs sealing. Soapstone comes in two base colors: green gray and blue gray. With the optional application of mineral oil, the stone becomes a deeper shade of charcoal or black. Soapstone International recommends personally selecting your stone because of the variations found in a natural quarry stone.

Made without the addition of adhesives or binders, Wellboard is comprised of 100% wood cellulose. An excellent material choice for creating surfaces with curves, each board begins as a flat plate and then acquires its undulating surface once it has been subjected to pressure and heat during the manufacturing process. Wellboard is made in six different profiles and is extremely lightweight despite its great stability. The ability to integrate custom surface graphics makes this product extremely versatile for a myriad of applications.
