Modern-Plywood-Ceiling-Panels-by-Jaana-Ylitalo-for-BRAINWOOD_001

Manufactured in Finland by BRAIN.WOOD, POP was developed by Jaana Ylitalo while she was studying industrial design at Helsinki University of Arts and Crafts. POP is a three-dimensional form pressed plywood panel system that is available in light birch, warm cherry, rich walnut and acoustical cork veneers. The wood veneer panels are laminated with a clear matte film for increased durability and ease of cleaning. To create those perfectly tailored edges, concealed aluminum fittings are utilized in the mounting of each plywood panel.

Colorful Acoustic Panels and Ceiling Clouds by Texaa

Colorful-Acoustic-Panels-and-Ceiling-Clouds-by-Texaa_001

Very rarely, if ever, are spaces designed intentionally to have acoustical reverberation. Perhaps this gives a little insight as to why Texaa's Stereo Collection is so popular with architects and designers. Stereo utilizes a technique known as "object-based noise control" to reduce acoustical reverberation by the strategic placement of sound absorptive elements within a space. The effectiveness of these elements is dependent upon a proprietary knit fabric, called Aeria, that is both permeable to sound waves and colorful.

Translucent Stretch Ceiling Systems by Barrisol

Translucent-Stretch-Ceiling-Systems-by-Barrisol_001

Used extensively throughout Europe, Barrisol stretch ceilings are comprised of a lightweight stretch polymer membrane that is both recyclable and anti-microbial. This ceiling system is the perfect acoustical solution for renovation projects because of its ability to be installed over existing ceiling conditions. But perhaps Barrisol's most impressive feature is the creation of incredible luminous atmospheres when integrated with luminaries. The ethereal aesthetic it produces when back-lit is simply spectacular.
